King of the Air is an annual freestyle Kiteboarding competition presented by Red Bull. Kiteboarders from all over the world are taking part in this most prestigious competition. They are judged based on the height of their jumps, variety of tricks and of course, style.
The competition began in year 2000 in Maui, Hawaii. After a 8 years gap event returned in 2013 and is held annually in the same place, Cape Town, South Africa. You can find there the best kitebaorders in the world. Each year competition is gathering more and more people, in 2019 was over 8000.
They have watched Kevin Langeree as he become the first man ever to win King of the Air three times in a row.

Schedule
Like in the previous years, Red Bull King of the Air 2020 will be held on the Kite Beach – Blouberg in Cape Town, South Africa. Event starts 24th of January with qualifying rounds and will last till 31st of January when we will know the finalist. The same day will be an opening ceremony as well. Main event, however, starts on 1st February and will last for 3 weekends.

How to enter the competition
If you are kiteboarder and feel like you can take a part in the competition, you need to send a video here. It must be 1 minute of hot action, showing only your best moves from the past two years of riding.
