Reedin Kites, brand by Kevin Langeree and Damien Girardin

Kevin Langeree, kiteboarding world champion and 3x King of the Air, along with Damien Girardin passionate product designer are starting new kite brand – Reedin Kites. Kite brand that aims to create an incomparable riding experience and inspires riders to enjoy every session.
Long live the King of the Air
Kevin was born in Noordwijk, The Netherlands in 1988 and he is kiteboarding since the year 2000. He became four time Dutch freestyle champion and Professional Kiteboard Riders Association champion in 2009.
- “Kiteboarding is a never-dying passion, I wanted to break out, be free, define my gear, break new records, go beyond…” – he explains
He dominates the kiting world in all aspects. Kitesurfing Jaws or Dungeons, kite-foiling and jumping to previously unseen heights, Kevin does it all. His riding inspired the Reedin product line.
Together with Damien Girardin who was a brand manager and kite designer at Naish for 15 years, he decided to leave the brand to pursue his dreams.
The Great Designer
Damien Girardin was responsible for recent designs of the Pivot and Boxer kites at Naish. He developed Quad Tex material along with Teijin, Japanese masters of canopies.
His latest creation for Naish was The Wing-surfer. The Wing-Surfer is the ultimate handheld inflatable surfing wing. It’s a cross between a windsurfing sail and kiteboarding kite but with no rigging, no hardware and no strings.
We don’t know much about design of Reedin Kites yet. Hopefully they will be unveiling an introduction product line-up very soon.
According to Kevin Langeree the line-up will be unveiled somwhere in February, as he said in the interview for German KITE Magazin. They will launch a kite, bar, kitebaord and wave board.

So we just have to be patient and wait as Kevin Langeree and Damien Girardin are about to shake whole kite industry again.
